PHOENIX – Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs will host the first meeting of the 2021 Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission at 11:15 a.m. on January 14.
In 2000, voters passed Proposition 106 amending the Arizona Constitution, and creating the Independent Redistricting Commission to draw congressional and state legislative districts following the completion of the decennial census. Prior to 2000, the State Legislature was responsible for creating these boundaries.
